Films for a Better Food Future

Become an Actor for Change.

We live in a beautiful world – a world that inspires great filmmakers to create masterpieces of cinema. Yet our choices and lifestyles, compounded by conflicts and rapidly changing threats such as the COVID-19 pandemic, are endangering our planet, our livelihoods and our future. It is up to us, the youth who will inherit these challenges, to join together and collectively strive to transform our agri-food systems.

Film has the power to unite and inspire. While “a picture is worth a thousand words”, the combination of moving images, sound and storytelling can elicit powerful emotions such as empathy or happiness. Most important, film can inspire behavioural change. We are convinced that harnessing the power of film is essential to inciting concrete actions and solutions that can create a better food future for all.

How?

The WFF Film Festival uses the power of storytelling to help transform our agri-food systems. Whether you are a young filmmaker, a video content creator or a film, documentary or social media enthusiast, your art can have a decisive role in inspiring the world to create a more sustainable and healthy food future.

The challenge starts now! Check out the categories below and discover how you can make a difference.
